FIBC Bags
FIBCs are classified into four distinct categories—Type A, Type B, Type C, and Type D. These classifications are strictly defined by three core parameters: material construction, electrostatic properties, and operational limits.

Type A: Standard Bags
- Type A Bag: Made from standard fabric without any measures against static electricity buildup. Any bag that fails or has not been tested against IEC Clause 7 norms is classified as Type A.
- Standard Bags Offers zero static protection. It is strictly limited to non-reactive, inert materials (like sand or gravel) and must never be used near combustible dusts or flammable vapors.

Type B: Antistatic Bags
- Type B Bag: Fabricated from non-conductive materials engineered to prevent sparks and dangerous propagating brush discharges (PBD).
- Antistatic Bags Must exhibit an electrical breakdown voltage of ≤ 4 kV to handle combustible dusts safely. Because it lacks dissipative properties, it is completely prohibited in environments containing flammable gases or vapors.

Type C: Conductive Bags
- Type C Bag: Constructed from fabric interwoven with conductive tapes designed to eliminate incendiary sparks, brush discharges, and PBDs.
- Conductive Bags Engineered to connect directly to the earth during operations. Mandatory grounding during both filling and discharging is the essential condition for its safe performance.

Type D: Dissipative Bags
- Type D Bag: Constructed from advanced fabrics containing permanent static-dissipative fibers. These fibers safely bleed electrical charges directly into the surrounding atmosphere through low-energy corona discharge
- Dissipative Bags Engineered to prevent incendiary sparks, brush discharges, and propagating brush discharges without requiring manual grounding wire setups. They are safe for environments containing both combustible dusts and flammable gases; however, the bag surface must remain free of conductive contaminants like water or grease to work effectively
